MYSTERY OF DEFILED NAMES - Michael Felix
If your name is defiled, it cannot be written in the Lamb's book of life, for nothing that "defiles" shall inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
Revelation 21:27a And there shall in no wise enter into it "ANY THING" THAT DEFILETH,......
GOD CANNOT SIN
The Lord cannot sin by writing down names that clearly mocks Him, names that glorifies demons, deities/idols, and names whose meaning are sinful cannot be written in the book of life. For God who is holy cannot put names in the book of life that is truly defiled, sinful and glorifies demons. For whatever(including names) that glorifies "demons" cannot be written in the book of life.
There are 2-main types of "Defiled Names" that the Lord rejects and they are:
TYPES OF DEFILED NAMES
(1) IDOLATROUS NAMES: Names that are connected to idol, evil deities, or demons should be changed, even if that name is your Surname, it must still be changed. There was one of my friend, whose Surname was "Ogungbemi", and in Yoruba tribe in Nigeria, "Ogun" is a deity referred to as the "god of iron", and "Gbemi" means "Take Me", so the name "Ogungbemi" means "god of iron takes me", so if that person dies with such names to his identity, who do you think will come and "take him"?. I thank God my friend later changed his name from "Ogungbemi" to "Oluwagbemi" which means "The Living God Takes Me". Check your name very well, including the names you bear in your tribes, to make sure it is not glorifying evil deities or demons, for nothing that defiles shall inherit the kingdom of Heaven, and if you bear such name which are connected to demons and you die, and are been accused by the devil on why you kept bearing names that glorifies him and his demons, what will your response be?.
(2) BAD MEANING NAME: If you bear Names with bad meaning, you may needs to change it, you cannot name your girl child Jezebel, because it means an: immoral and sexually promiscuous woman, you can't name her Diana which is the name of the goddess(demon) of the Ephesus, nor can you name her Diva which when translated in Latin equally means an Evil goddess, Cecilia in latin means blind, Claudia means lame, or you can't name your boy child Diablo in spanish which means devil, Douglas which means Dark water, etc. Even God had to change Jacob name which means "To Follow", God had to change His name to "Israel" which means: "One who prevails with God".
YOUR NAME IS YOUR IDENTITY
For your "NAME" is part of your main "IDENTITY" not just in the physical realm, but also in the Spiritual Realm, and if your name glorifies demons and has an evil and sinful meaning, it won't be written in the book of life, for "Your Name" is who you are. "Your Name is Your Identity", it is just like you call a fish a fish, because that is what it is, that is its identity. So also, your name is what you are, Your Name Defines you, its your identity, and so, if your name is connected to idol or it has an evil meaning, it should also be changed, for the sake of your eternal soul. For you are God's temple, and what agreement does a Temple Of God(YOU), Have with Idols. "What agreement does your name, have with sin or idols, that it should be linked to it?.
2 Corinthians 6:16 And WHAT AGREEMENT HATH THE TEMPLE OF GOD WITH IDOLS?
